EU Fund Project "Creative Industries Synergy in Europe"
The foundation
"Creativity Lab" implemented the EU Regional Development Fund
co-financed project "Creative Industries Synergy in Europe" (project
No. 13.1.4.0/23/I/015).
The project's aim was to support the activities of the foundation "Creativity Lab" to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, accelerate adaptation to new conditions, and promote broader cultural service availability, thus creating a positive impact on local communities and economic development.
Within the project "Creativity Lab" participated in international cooperation promotion and professional capacity and growth strengthening events - European Culture and Creativity Days and the Slush festival.
The project resulted in the ensured operation of the foundation "Creativity Lab" (outcome indicator - 1 supported cultural sector organization; result indicator - 1 cultural organization operation (service)).
The total project budget was EUR 9,877.64, including EU Regional Development Fund funding of EUR 7,864.08. The project was implemented for 5 months (until December 31, 2023).

Riga Planning Region Project "Entrepreneurship
Support Measures in Riga Planning Region" (service provision to Riga
Planning Region)
https://rpr.gov.lv/project/support-rpr-vest/In 2023 and 2024, the foundation "Creativity Lab" provided four intensive seminar cycles (each 4 days) for municipal project development, business planning, and innovation specialists from Riga and surrounding municipalities: Jūrmala, Ādaži, Mārupe, Ķekava, Olaine, Salaspils, Ropaži, and Sigulda. Seminar topics included:
• Territorial economic development: investment planning and monitoring, innovation and local business promotion
• Community engagement: methods, support measures, and best practices for collaboration with local communities, including NGOs and youth
• Place branding: enhancing the
identity of places and communities
• Territorial development planning: regulations, long-term and medium-term planning documents, methods, practices, and monitoring
• Digital and smart solutions for municipal service delivery
• Management of EU Structural Funds and other financial instruments programs

Training for Ministry of Welfare Employees
Training Course "Design Thinking" (service
provision to the Ministry of Welfare)
In
2020, a training program "Design Thinking" was implemented, aimed at
providing Ministry of Welfare employees with theoretical and practical
knowledge about design thinking, as well as developing skills and competencies
in applying the design thinking process, methods, and mindset for everyday
work, new project development, service improvement, and policy initiatives. The course included collaborative problem-solving skills development, with teams working on issues relevant to the Ministry of Welfare. The course content and program were organized to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical application of design thinking tools, helping participants to use these tools effectively in their specific work contexts after the course. Each session covered theoretical principles of design thinking phases, combined with practical exercises.

State Chancellery Initiative "Latvian

The European Commission initiated and supported project "Latvian Government Innovation Laboratories" (2020-2021) aimed to contribute to institutional, administrative, and sustainable structural reforms in Latvia, support public institutions' reform implementation, develop pilot reform projects, and facilitate development sprints for public institutions to transform services and improve policies. The project included research, methodological, and practical activities and seminars to help Latvian public institutions implement necessary reforms for human-centered public service delivery.
Creativity Lab experts were involved as researchers, design thinking and innovation facilitators for interdisciplinary public institution teams, and event organizers.

Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership Project "Future
Skillset 2.0"
(project implementer Foundation "Latvian Young Entrepreneurs Center 'Jobs & Society'")
The Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project "Future Skills 2.0" (2019-2021) aimed to promote the personal and professional skill development of young people and create an online academy for youth to develop and enhance skills for the job market. Project activities focused on providing personal development education:
• Developing an online academy and dissemination events, providing young people with the right skill set through formal and informal channels.
• Conducting an informative campaign to promote the social impact of personal development and its positive influence on self-confidence and work-life balance.
• Promoting the image of entrepreneurship: popularizing the image of an entrepreneur as a role model.

Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership Project "Youth BIZZ Skillset"
(project implementer Foundation "Latvian Young Entrepreneurs Center 'Jobs & Society'")
The Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project "Youth BIZZ Skillset" (2017-2019) aimed to promote the development of youth business thinking and skills, creating methodological tools and training young people and youth workers for business idea development. The project also included a very useful study on skill requirements in the job market in Latvia and Estonia.

Swedish Institute Project "Art+atmosphere
Baltic"
The
Swedish Institute-funded project "Art+atmosphere Baltic" in 2017 was
implemented as a partnership project of Baltic Sea region countries to promote
the synergy between art and science. The partnership created a methodology for
working with youth from all involved countries. Each country organized a
workshop for youth on creative interventions. Creativity Lab organized a
workshop on the topic "Entrepreneurship in the 2000s."ENT-MIND
